A meeting of the steering committee for the review of major contracts was held regarding the review of the contract of the second phase of the Kajki dam project in Helmand province. In continuation of the previous meetings, this meeting was also under the leadership of the Acting Minister of Energy and Water Honorable Mula Abdul Latif Mansoor with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Water Mr. Mujib ur Rahman Omar Akhundzada, Deputy Minister of Energy Mr. Mula Abdul Qahir Idris, Deputy Minister of Rural Reconstruction and Development Mr. Mufti Syed. Ahmed Mustaqeen, Deputy Minister of Economy Honorable Dr. Abdul Latif Nazari, Deputy Minister of Public Works Mr. Abdul Karim Fateh, Deputy Director of National Procurement Department Mr. Sheikh Abdul Rahim Rahimi, representative of 77 Turkish company Mr. Burak Onsal and the technical team of the large contracts investigation delegation. In this meeting, the representatives of the Ministry of Energy and Water and the contractor company, after discussing and exchanging ideas regarding the implementation of the contract for the second phase of the Kajaki Dam project, promised to cooperate with each other in future in expected and unexpected situations. Also, in this meeting, the project of gas thermal power sale in Mazar-e-Sharif related to the Afghanistan’s national power utility (DABS) was also examined and it was decided that the recommendations of the technical sub-committee are acceptable and will be sent to the economic commission for the final decision.
