The Salar General Canal in Kunar Province, which was destroyed due to recent floods and filled with sediments, has been urgently restored and cleaned with the efforts of the officials of the Kunar Sub river basin. 
This canal is the largest agricultural and economic canal in the province. 
In a meeting with the Chairman of the Kunar Sub river basin, Mullah Dost Muhammad Hanafi, and some other local officials, the Honorable Mawlawi Qudratullah Abu Hamzah, the governor of Kunar, emphasized on the urgent need for the reconstruction of dams, canals, and rivers. 
The head of the Kunar Sub river basin provided complete information to the governor of Kunar about the survey of weirs, canals, and streams, as well as the recent activities related to this matter.
