In Baghlan Province, Ajmir Canal Clean Work Project has been opened with a value of about eighteen (18) million Afghanis.

Ajmir canal cleaning project worth about eighteen (18) million Afghanis was inaugurated in Pulkhumri district of Baghlan province in the presence of the representatives of Baghlan Sub river basin, provincial office, police headquarters and the Department of Information and Culture.
The project is being carried out in coordination with the Baghlan sub river basin with the financial support of DABS (Afghanistan’s National Power Utility) for a length of five (5) kilometers and with that the capacity of the second dam of Pul Khumri electricity power will be increased to 9 megawatts and thousands of acres of agricultural land will be irrigated.
