The construction of the Gardez-Zurmat road officially commenced today. 

This significant development was inaugurated in the presence of several dignitaries, including the Acting Minister of the Ministry of Energy and Water, H.E Alhaj Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Interior, Honorable Mawlawi Muhammad Nabi Omari, the Deputy Minister of Public Works, Honorable Mawlawi Abdul Karim Fatih, Governor of Paktia, Honorable Haji Dawat, Deputy Governor of the mentioned province, Honorable Mawlawi Inamullah Salahuddin, the Head of Public Works of Paktia Province, and other provincial directors and ethnic elders of Zurmat.
In the process of the mentioned ceremony, the Emirate officials pledged during their speeches that, within the scope of their responsibilities and possibilities for balanced development, they would make efforts to implement additional public projects in the region, Their goal is to provide their mujahid citizens with the conditions for a comfortable and prosperous life.
Residents of the region and ethnic elders expressed their happiness about the project's commencement, anticipating significant positive changes in the social and economic life of the people upon its completion. The meeting concluded with a prayer for the settlement, prosperity, and harmony of the beloved country and its citizens.
It's important to note that this road is a vital transportation link, connecting Rohani Baba district, Ghazni, and Paktika provinces with the center of Paktia province (Gardiz) and Zurmat district.
