The first canal project of Paltu River in Paktika Province at the worth of seven hundred, forty one thousand and three hundred (741,300) Afghanis, in the presence of the Governor of Paktika Province, Mr. Maulawi Abdullah Mukhtar, the Director of Gomal sub river basin, Mr. Qari Fateh Muhammad Zakir and a number of other local officials, it was handed over for use.
Many people were provided employment in this project and it has the ability to irrigate 30 hectares of agricultural land
