In Jawzjan Province, the works of strengthening the banks of the Amu River have started.

The projects of strengthening the banks of the Amo river in Qarqin district of Jawzjan province, was officially started in the presence of Mr. Mujib ur Rahman Umar Akhundzada, Deputy Minister of Water of the Ministry of Energy and Water, Head of North General River Basin Mr. Maulawi Abdul Hakim Haji Hikmat, head of Jawzjan Sub River Basin, Qarqin district governor and some other local officials.

 After the completion of the Mentioned project, the destruction of the areas affected by the water of the Amu River will be avoided.
