A joint meeting was held between the Ministry of Energy and Water, Afghanistan’s National Power Utility (DABS) and the Embassy of Turkmenistan
The meeting was attended by the Acting Minister of the Ministry of Energy and Water Mulla Abdul Latif Mansoor, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan Mr. Hoja Ovezov the Head of Afghanistan’s National Power Utility (DABS) Mulla Muhammad Hanif Hamzah, the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Ministry of Energy and Water Mulla Abdul Qahir Idris, the Governor of Herat Honorable Sheikh Al-Hadith Maulana Noor Ahmad Islamjar, And a number of other officials of the country of Turkmenistan and the Afghanistan’s National Power Utility (DABS).
In this meeting, There was a discussion and exchange of ideas about joint cooperation for the (TAP) project and the construction of Noor ul Jihad Substation.
The Ministry of Energy and Water and the Ambassador of Turkmenistan agreed in the course of this meeting that in the future a tripartite joint meeting between the three countries (Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan) will be held at the level of the ministers of the three countries, to discuss and exchange ideas comprehensively for the purpose of implementing the TAP project.
In the end, both sides emphasized on the development of joint cooperation and the creation of coordination between the technical teams of the two countries to speed up the affairs of the mentioned projects.
