In Nangarhar province, the construction of the embankment and reinforcement wall of Roghano village and the canal cleaning project have been opened.

 The construction of the barrier and reinforcement wall of Roghano village, Rudatu district, Nangarhar province, and the canal cleaning project was opened in the presence of the head of Nangarhar sub river basin, Alhaji Syed Fazal Ahad Hashmi, officials of the WFP office and some other local officials.

This project is carried out with the financial support of the WFP office with the technical cooperation of the Afghanistan Comprehensive Development Organization.

The project includes the construction of a 35-meter long embankment, 12-kilometer canal cleaning, and 600-meter long retaining wall, which will provide employment to 750 workers.

 It is worth mentioning that after the completion of this project, 4000 acres of agricultural land will be irrigated.

 Also, technical team of Nangarhar sub river basin monitored the embankment of Hisark village.
