Two irrigation projects worth nearly two hundred and forty thousand dollars have been put into use in Paktia province

The Tandano Weir project in Tere region of the center of Paktia province, which is used by four hundred families, and the kani canal project in Rohani Baba district, which is three kilometers long and irrigates 2000 hectares of land with the worth of Two hundred and thirty-seven thousand and nine hundred and ninety (237,990) dollars, were handed over for use in the presence of the Acting Minister of Energy and Water H.E Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor, Chairman of Paktia Sub river basin Honorable Mawlawi Mohammad Karim Fateh, Chairman of Logar Sub river basin Honorable Mullah Ismail Akhundzada, General in charge of the Liaison Office Cooperative Organization Honorable Muhammad Rahim Khosti and a number of other local officials.
At the ceremony of these projects, the Acting Minister of Energy and Water spoke about water management and mentioned that water management is a major economic factor for the country.
H.E called the role of the professional class fundamental in the population of the country and added that now the atmosphere of peace has been created in the country; The best opportunity has been provided for the implementation of projects and investment.
Also, the Acting Minister of Energy and Water visited the areas of Kani and Gaviyan water reservoir dams.
It is worth noting that the Tandano Weir project was implemented with the financial support of the Swiss Development Cooperation Agency, by the Liaison Office Cooperative Organization, And the Kani Canal project was implemented under the supervision of the Paktia Sub river basin by the Roots of peace organization.
