The foundation stone of seven projects worth approximately 50 million Afghanis was laid in Khost province
At the opening ceremony of the mentioned projects, Honorable Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor, Acting Minister of Energy and Water, Honorable Mohammad Anwar Din Parwar, Deputy Governor of Khost, Honorable Engineer Zainullah Nasimi, Head of the Shamal-Khorram Sub river basin, Honorable Mohammad Rasool Adel and many religious scholars, And ethnic elders were present.
At the opening ceremony of these projects, Honorable Minister said that seven projects worth approximately 50 million Afghanis will be built in three regions of Khost province under the framework of the Ministry of Energy and Water with the financial support of FAO organization and the technical cooperation of Khost Sub river basin Directorate.
Honorable Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor, Acting Minister of Energy and Water Ministry, thanked the mentioned organization, which implements various projects jointly with this Ministry.
Honorable Deputy Governor Maulawi Mohammad Anwar Din Parwar said, that the provincial administration is trying to cooperate with the people affected by the floods in Khost in different sectors, and these projects are also from the series of the same cooperation.
Honorable Engineer Zainullah Nasimi, the head of Khost Sub river Basin said, that with the implementation of the mentioned projects, 1660 meters of retaining wall will be built with gabions and 1870 acres of agricultural land will be protected from the destruction of floods.
He said that the mentioned projects are being implemented in Shamal Khwarh, Matun Khwarh and Sepirah district, and in these projects, almost 3,000 people have been given job opportunities.
