The project of strengthening the banks of the Amu River was completed in Hazar Tuqi village of Shurtapa district of Balkh province

 A meeting was held on the occasion of the completion of this project with the participation of the Deputy Governor of Balkh Province Noor ul Hadi Abu Idris, the head of Balkh Sub river basin Mawlawi Musa Jan Haq Bin, the head of the fortifications of the banks of the Amu River, Mawlawi Syed Ghulam Mashwani and a number of ethnic elders and the mentioned participants discussed about the value of the strengthening project on the banks of the Amu River in this district.

 The project of strengthening the banks of the Amo river in Shurtapa district of Balkh province was started four months ago during an emergency program to prevent the destruction of agricultural lands and residential houses around the said river.

 It is worth noting that the project of strengthening the banks of the Amo River, at the expense of the Ministry of Energy and Water, starts from Kunduz province, extends to Shurtapa district of Balkh province and Qarqin and Khamab districts of Jawzjan province.
