During the opening of the project, Acting Minister of Energy and Water H.E. Alhaj Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor referred to the overall security in the country as a divine blessing. He mentioned that now is the time for economic development and the country's progress. And the leadership of the Ministry of Energy and Water assures the people of Afghanistan that they are genuinely striving to fulfill their responsibilities in this regard.
Simultaneously, Governor of Logar, Sheikh Zia-ul-Rahman Madani, stated during the inauguration of the Kharwar Dam that the officials of the Islamic Emirate are committed to providing tangible services to the people of Afghanistan and will work day and night in this regard.
It is worth mentioning that the construction of the Kharwar Dam began for the first time during the reign of Dawood Khan, but unfortunately, due to some problems, the works remained incomplete.
